Dubai Airshow as a sign of strong aviation comeback
After an almost two-year break, the biggest global aviation event this year – Dubai Airshow was bringing life back to aviation with more than 1,200 exhibitors from over 148 countries.
Apart from good news for aviation in the global sense, Dubai Airshow confirmed a very positive outlook for the business aviation sector too. That´s the industry that is forecasted to thrive the most, with five percent growth and $235 billion worth of new aircraft deliveries next year, according to the Honeywell Global Business Aviation report. As the first big in-person global aviation event, Dubai Airshow brought a conforming emotion after the exhausting COVID-19 period.
Among the most discussed topics was the sustainability issue. With increasing pressure from investors and the public, it was obvious that huge discussion is inevitable and indeed, carbon emissions reduction was definitely on the agenda. The talks were mostly focused on adopting more fuel-efficient aircraft and implementing sustainable aviation fuels. Together with the overall mood, it implies that there are many driving factors to move the industry forward in the next period.
