New aircraft coming to the market as NBAA-BACE returns after 2 years
After a one-year break caused by reasons known to all of us, NBAA-BACE - the biggest event in business aviation is back. Its return has traditionally been accompanied by many announcements and statements from the biggest players in the industry. We can therefore welcome several completely new but also improved aircraft on the market.
Perhaps the most anticipated statement came a few days before the start of NBAA-BACE, by the American manufacturer Gulfstream Aerospace. A new G800 jet has joined the impressive fleet, with the longest range in the company's history. With the ability to cover a distance of 8,000nm at Mach 0.85, this aircraft allows non-stop travel between the world's major city pairings, gaining a unique position. The all-new G400 is also part of the Gulfstream jet family upgrade. However, with a range of 4,800 nm at Mach 0.85, it fits into another category. Gulfstream makes no secret of the fact that the aircraft was designed based on direct inputs from customers, gaining a completely new position in the portfolio. Gulfstream Aerospace thus confirmed its leadership position by further expanding its ultramodern family of aircraft.
Honda Aircraft do not lag behind with the new announcement either and enter the NBAA conference with the introduction of the new HondaJet 2600 concept, displaying the mockup of the new design that will feature a transcontinental range of 2,625 nm. However, the whole project is still at the beginning, and the mockup is intended primarily for customer feedback and validation of demand before the start of development.
Other interesting announcements include Textron Aviation. The company introduced improvements to the existing Cessna Citation M2 Gen2 and Citation XLS Gen2 models. The news is mainly focused on cabin modifications and deliveries of these new generations of aircraft will begin next year.
